Officially launched in November 2009, Indovations.net is brought to you by the Centre for India & Global Business and addresses a fundamental question that the entire world is starting to ask: What can we learn from India-inspired innovation and how can we all benefit from it?
A trend spotter, indovations.net is an interactive, multimedia website that educates users worldwide about India-inspired innovations across multiple domains. We envision that this multichannel knowledge sharing will inspire creativity and innovation around the globe.
Categories
Indovations.net features five primary categories:
Business | features Indian corporations and foreign firms innovating in India, and demonstrates ways in which foreign companies can engage India. This section will also showcase CSR initiatives driven by these firms
Society | this section features the best of social innovations with a special emphasis on viable business models and will help create and sustain an ecosystem that fosters grassroots innovation
Science and Technology | showcases scientific and technological innovations out of Indian labs -– be it in nanotech, cleantech, biotech, or space technology
Art & Culture | this section will feature innovations from the creative industries including Bollywood and art house cinema, arts, entertainment, and fashion
Energy & Environment | from solar power for the urban poor, to refrigerators that don’t require electricity, this section will help map out ways in which we can meet increasing energy demands, while keeping the environment in mind
